The Must-Have Subjects in School Education

Blog, Education, Life, Relationship
7 Life skills that must be mandatory school subjects. During the early ’90s, school selection was typically dependent on the fee structure and the distance between the school and the home. Today, the schools are selected depending on the syllabus offered. During my schooling, I remember knowing only two syllabus – state board and CBSE board. Thanks to my niece and nephews, I am aware of the different syllabus offered such as CBSE, ICSE, IBO, IG, etc. (Apologies, I have zero knowledge about the differences between these syllabi even now). Even after giving the international standards of education, our current education system lacks in grooming the children in general aspects of life.   Mandatory Subjects in School At times when I used to struggle with subjects, I used to wonder…

It’s Okay… I Cried, They Cried & YOU TOO CAN CRY…

Blog, Life

Nothing will change just because you are crying’. And many more… Knowingly or unknowingly, we all have heard, embraced, stated as well as confronted such statements. In my 31 years of life, I don’t know how many times I have cried. Smile – Because That’s Your Strength

Blog, Life

They always SMILE when they converse with me. Have I always smiled back? Maybe or maybe not. But they always smile, when they do. Irrespective of what’s running in their mind, irrespective of whether we reciprocate or not, they always SMILE. Definitely, they must be going through a hell of a life, yet they unconsciously or consciously believe that a smile is a curve that makes everything straight. Smile - Be Happy The smile is more than an expression. It’s not something that the face expresses. It is the state of mind. It is an amazing part of communication which…

DISCLAIMER: Contradicting to the topic, I am a typical unromantic personality, yet in love marriage. So certainly, not here to give gyaan for anyone. I am sharing my perspective of romance in a relationship. Being There During Changes ‘Letters meant everything to us. Love, hate, anger, fights, happiness or sadness, everything was shared through letters. The joy of reading the letter from the partner, writing a response for the same and again, waiting for the reply filled with subtle hints of love, possessiveness and love mixed anger cannot be traded for anything in my life’, he uttered these words, looking at his partner, whom he has been  married for 71 years. Get Inspired but Be Original

Mission Mangal – More than an Inspiring Bollywood Movie, this is a tribute and celebration of the Indian Women Scientists and their struggles. Don't Be a Copy - Make Your Own Mark Ignore the scientific hiccups, and a little illogic, Mission Mangal is a tribute and celebration of the success of Mangalyaan Mission – Mission Over Mars (MOM), a landmark achievement for the Indian Space Research Organization. A Bollywood movie, without heart-touching dialogues and songs, is impossible. Having said that, this one dialogue, which Tara Shinde (Vidya Balan) tells her son Dilip Shinde (Rohan Joshi) touched my heart and would stay with me for quite some time. ‘Get Inspired from Everything & Everyone, but the Real Joy is in Being Original’ Be Unique - Be You It’s so true that,…

YOU Are the Only Gift YOUR CHILD Wants…

Blog, Education, Life, Parenting, Relationship
The way a child enjoys life is truly inspiring and a lesson for adults to learn. Every Child is Precious Like any other child, even my childhood was filled with ups and downs. I had witnessed so many instances that no child should experience and certainly have scars for life. Yet, the first thing that comes to my mind when I think about my childhood is the sheer joy of playing on the streets. Guess, I was in first or second grade, that I started to play with the boys on the streets. Talking confidently, convincing them to take me in the team, and to be an active participant to decide which game would be played on that day – I was always there on the pitch. Even before reaching…

The Joy of Waking Up Early

Everything Changed as I Began to Change My Sleep Cycle The First Rays of the Sun Yes! On most of the Sunday’s, I get up as early as 3.00 AM to go to my Temple for my weekly prayer. But, other than that, I don’t remember, when was the last time, that I witnessed the early morning sunrise on a weekday. It’s been more than a decade, that I get up only around 6.00 AM in the morning. Thanks to my husband, who is practicing ‘Early to Office, Early to Home’, because he is traumatized by the traffic on the road. Just like school children, the moment clock strikes 7.10 AM, he is out on the road with his laptop bag and lunch box. His early schedule has made me…
